Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how Nanobotz IT Solutions (Pvt) Ltd (“Nanobotz”, “we”) handles the personal information you share with us through this website. We aim to keep it plain and honest, in line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022 (the “PDPA”).

What we collect

When you fill in an inquiry or demo-request form on this site, we collect only what you enter — typically your name, your organisation, an email address or phone number, and a short description of what you're looking for. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we hold that correspondence too. We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website, and you should not send it to us.

Our website may also record basic technical information (such as an anonymised sense of which pages are viewed) to keep the site working and understand what's useful. We do not use this to build a profile of you as an individual.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your inbound business inquiry — to reply to you, understand your requirement, arrange a walkthrough, and follow up on that conversation. Our lawful basis is that processing this information is necessary to respond to and act on the request you made of us.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the service providers we use to run our business (for example, email and customer-record tools), and only so they can help us respond to you. We do not pass your details to third parties for their own marketing.

Marketing is separate and opt-in

Answering your inquiry is not the same as signing you up for marketing. We will only add you to any newsletter or marketing list if you separately and explicitly ask us to, and you can withdraw that consent at any time — every marketing message will tell you how.

How long we keep it

We keep your inquiry for as long as we're in an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, then we remove or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you have rights over your personal data — including the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected, and to ask us to delete it, as well as to withdraw any marketing consent. To exercise any of these, just contact us and we'll act on it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For anything you're unsure about, please just ask — we'd rather answer than have you guess.
