Flagship — Bakery Networks

Control the bakery network from production to settlement.

BakeryMate is an implementation-led platform for central production, agent routes and mixed-format outlets. The commercial promise begins with a verified workflow and bounded acceptance criteria — not a generic feature checklist.

What is a bakery network platform — and how is it different from a POS?

A POS records the sale. A bakery network platform can also connect what was planned, made, moved, returned, collected and settled across the production centre, route and outlet. BakeryMate's exact scope is confirmed through a paid Control Blueprint.

the tension

Running a food business shouldn't mean guessing.

You're guessing how much to bake. Chasing stock that never matches the till. Finding out you lost money to waste or a festive-day sell-out only when it's too late. And your numbers? They live in a POS, a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group and your accountant's head — and they never agree.

None of that is a discipline problem. It's a systems problem. When production, stock, distribution and accounts are four disconnected tools, nobody can see the whole picture — least of all you.

What a food production ERP does that a POS can't

A POS records what crossed the counter. BakeryMate can add the production, inventory, route and settlement records around that sale. The paid Control Blueprint decides which records, integrations and acceptance criteria belong in your admitted scope.

the named framework

The Factory-to-Counter stack: the five layers a food business actually needs.

Not all "food ERP" is the same. Here's the five-layer stack a growing South-Asian food business needs — and the layer a generic POS stops at.

  1. 1

    Production & recipe planning

Connect demand, recipes, ingredient requirements and batch records in the agreed production model.

A POS has none of this.

  2. 2

    Inventory, factory to outlet

Trace receiving, production, transfers, dispatch, sales, returns and wastage across scoped locations.

  3. 3

    Distribution & agents

Connect agent or vehicle stock, routes, billing, returns, credit, collections, commission and settlement.

  4. 4

    POS & eCommerce

Scope the outlet, order and sales-channel workflows that must connect to inventory.

  5. 5

    Finance

Define the accounting boundary and records required to reconcile operations to finance.

BakeryMate is designed to connect all five layers. The Blueprint identifies what is standard, configured, custom, third-party or unavailable for the buyer's workflow.

Who it's for — and who it isn't.

It's for you if

You run a bakery or confectionery network with central production, meaningful agent or van-sales operations, returns and credit settlement, and optionally owned or franchised outlets. An operating sponsor is ready to standardise the core workflow.

It's probably not for you (yet) if

You need only a single till, a generic restaurant POS, an unbounded custom build, or a launch date that cannot pass product, customer and delivery-capacity gates.

adoption must be evidenced

Prove the operating day before expanding the rollout.

The Blueprint identifies roles, devices, connectivity, data condition, training and control ownership. Acceptance testing then uses reconciled operating evidence from the people who will actually run the process. More routes or outlets are admitted only after the first bounded workflow passes.

evidence before claims

Customer proof is being audited before it becomes campaign material.

We publish a BakeryMate customer name, outcome, quote or adoption count only after the source is reproducible and the customer has approved the exact public use. Until that audit closes, the sales conversation uses current product screens, mapped workflows and agreed acceptance criteria rather than borrowed institutional proof.

controlled intelligence

Make bakery data easier to interrogate — after the controls work.

Read-only bakery intelligence and MCP access are being validated against permissions, source records, freshness, citations and audit logs. Any action that changes an order, stock or financial record remains a separate, explicitly approved control boundary.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a food ERP and a POS?

A POS records the sale at the counter. A bakery network platform can also connect central production, factory and vehicle stock, agents and routes, outlets, returns, collections and settlement. BakeryMate proves the exact end-to-end scope in a paid Control Blueprint before implementation.

Is it built for Sri Lankan / South-Asian food businesses?

BakeryMate is being commercialised first for Sri Lankan bakery and confectionery networks, with local implementation. Language, device, tax, connectivity and support requirements are validated for each admitted workflow rather than promised as universal defaults.

Will my staff who aren't "tech people" actually use it?

Usability is tested with the actual roles who will operate the workflow. The Blueprint identifies training, device and data dependencies; acceptance testing and supervised operating days provide the evidence before rollout expands.

Can I start small and scale up?

A bounded first phase is possible when it preserves the control model and economics. Additional modules, routes or outlets are admitted only after the first workflow reconciles and the added scope passes readiness and capacity gates.
